Beiersdorf Revises 2025 Forecast as Market Conditions Tighten

The company now expects organic sales growth of 3–4% in its Consumer Business Segment, down from the previous range of 4–6%. Group-level organic growth is now projected at around 3%, also below the earlier 4–6% forecast and current capital market expectations.

For the tesa Business Segment, Beiersdorf maintained its previous guidance of 1–3% organic growth.

Adjusted Profit Outlook

The Consumer EBIT margin, excluding special factors, is now expected to increase by 20 basis points over 2024 levels, revised from the earlier 50 basis points estimate. Last year’s Consumer margin was 13.4%.

Group EBIT margin guidance remains unchanged at slightly above the 2024 level of 13.9%. The tesa Business Segment EBIT margin is still forecast at around 16%.

Slower Growth in Skin Care

Beiersdorf cited weaker-than-expected growth in the global skin care market during Q2 and into July 2025. Despite the downturn, the Executive Board confirmed that it will continue planned investments to support upcoming product launches in the second half of the year.

Q2 results show 1.5% organic growth in the Consumer Business Segment, while tesa saw a -3.7% sales decline. Group-level organic growth in Q2 was 0.6%.

For the first half of 2025, Consumer grew 1.9% organically to €4,330 million. The tesa segment grew 3.0% to €858 million. Group sales reached €5,188 million, representing 2.1% organic growth.

First-half EBIT margins excluding special factors were 16% for Consumer, 16.9% for tesa, and 16.1% for the Group.

The Beiersdorf 2025 Forecast Update comes ahead of the company’s January–June half-year report, scheduled for release on 6 August.
